There is no doubt the world has a multitude of environment issues to tackle. The need to balance the requirements of today without having a negative impact on what the world needs tomorrow is the challenge of our generation.
I admire the work done by Sir David Attenborough and others over recent times to produce amazing production content about environmental issues. Not only is this helping to build momentum in individual behaviour but also central government initiatives, such as the UK’s Ten Point Plan for its Green Industrial Revolution.
So, how can we play our part in the promotional merchandise sector?
I could write and write about eco-friendly options for branded merchandise (more content to come…) but in this post I’ll focus on bags, and in particular Jute Bags:
Single use plastic bag usage has dropped by 95% since the 5p charge was introduced in 2015 and the average person in England now buys just four bags a year from the main supermarket retailers. Read more.
The opportunity therefore is to get your brand out there and recognised for a sustained period.
Jute bags are made from a vegetable fibre. Not only is the material incredibly hard wearing that will last, but it is completely biodegradable and can be recycled for other uses. From a branding view point the material can be printed with your logo, with various bag styles to suit your taste.
If you’d like to know more about Jute bags, the options available and whether they could be suitable for you get in touch, we’re here to help.
